Under a 10-year time charter party, we provide Petrobras with one of the industry’s most advanced FSRUs — the Excelerate Sequoia. Since 2012, Excelerate has provided regasification services in Brazil at Petrobras’s LNG import terminals. Maintaining a continued presence in the Brazilian market is a fundamental part of Excelerate’s strategic position as a reliable backstop to the country’s energy system for which intermittent renewable energy contributes approximately 85 percent.

Through our wholly owned subsidiary, Excelerate Energy Comercializadora de Gás Natural Ltda, we sell natural gas to a diverse portfolio of customers in Brazil’s newly opened natural gas market. Our integrated terminal operations create an open-access distribution hub to connect our customers to the global LNG markets – regardless of their sector, size, or location.
