HSSEQ Coordinator

Excelerate is looking for a HHSEQ Coordinator to support the Safety Health Environmental Quality as well as Security functions to ensure information is available in a timely manner, and policies that protect Excelerate Energy L.P. personnel, properties and programs are created and implemented throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Perform all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company’s culture, corporate vision, ethics and code of conduct in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Assist teams with project management to ensure compliance with all safety and security programs, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify, report and assess workplace hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Organizes routine training on health, safety, and security matters for employees.
  • Maintain Safety Hub Users, assign training and provide reports.
  • Maintain Management System (DOCMAP) administration including users access.
  • Assist DOCMAP document control including the formatting of documents.
  • Maintain EELP / ETM HSSEQ KPI Data within database, and support detailed data provision for BOD and other meetings, and for periodic publishing to Newletter.
  • Maintain PPE and other Inventories and stock management; assure provisioning is up to date.
  • Provide advice on Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Security Management programs.
  • Produce HSSEQ associated analysis, reports, dashboards and presentation materials for HSSEQ and management teams including management review meetings.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the department Internal Audit Program.
  • Assist in the implementation the security training, education, and awareness programs.
  • Maintain office evacuation plans, assessments, and postings.
  • Assume additional assignments/tasks, and project or administrative support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
  • Three to five years equivalent work experience in health, safety, environment, quality, or a corporate security field.
  • HSEQ Qualifications/Certifications are preferred (NEBOSH, IGC, or NGC).
  • Demonstrates understanding and use of basic project management methodologies, including the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex, organization wide program over the longer term.
  • Knowledge of maritime industry standards strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of general safety best practices such as OSHA and/or UK HSE Executive.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of MS computer applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Must possess a prominent level of problem-solving abilities at all times and impeccable attention to detail.
  • A high degree of independence, integrity, and confidentiality.
